BERGAMOT ESSENTIAL OIL

An oil that is cold pressed from the peel of the Bergamot tree, a fruit tree that originates in Italy. The aroma is fruity, sweet with a hint of warmth and spice. Bergamot has energizing and uplifting properties. It can treat acne, dark spots, hyperpigmentation, eczema, and brighten complexions. We use bergaptene free essential oil, which means bergaptene that can cause photosensitivity has been removed. Bergamot is one of our favorite essential oils and we use it in our; Bergamot & Mint Body Scrub, Wildflower Hair & Body Oil, Lavender & Geranium Hand Salve, and in our Cedarwood and Rosemary Beard & Hair Oil, Vetiver & Bergamot Shave and Body Oil, Rosemary & Vetiver Aftershave.

BLOOD ORANGE ESSENTIAL OIL

is derived from cold pressing the fruit peel of the citrus sinensis evergreen tree, native to Italy. The oil carries a warm, fresh medium aroma that is also a bit tangy. The benefits of this oil are the same of the Sweet Orange in that it can be used as a sedative, aphrodisiac, anti-inflammatory, and antidepressant. We use this essential oil in our Ginger & Blood Orange Lip Balm.

Carrot seed essential oil

Carrot seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the daucus carota plant through steam distillation. This oil is an antioxidant and has anti-aging properties that protect your skin from wrinkles and sun damage. Carrot seed oil has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness, irritation, and acne. It is rich in vitamins that encourage cellular skin repair as well as growth. The Vitamin A in carrot seed oil gives  your skin a natural and radiant complexion. This essential oil is featured in our Reishi & Rosehip Face Cream. 

CEDARWOOD ESSENTIAL OIL

is derived by steam distilling the Cedarwood Tree, a coniferous evergreen native to Northern America. Along with offering a sweet and woody scent, cedarwood essential oil can also be used to treat eczema and defend the body against toxins. We use it in our Cedarwood and Rosemary Beard and Hair Old.

Chamomile Essential Oil

Chamomile is a sweet floral oil with an apple- like aroma and relaxing properties. It is anti-inflammatory, calms and softens skin, and is gentle enough for the most sensitive skin. We use this oil in our Neroli & Chamomile Facial Serum, White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream, Chamomile & Ylang Ylang Bath Soak, Calendula & Mint Cleansing Grains, and in our Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm

CITRONELLA ESSENTIAL OIL

This essential oil is processed by steam distilling the leaves of citronella grass, native to Sri Lanka and Java. It has a soft lemony scent with wood tones. Citronella has various benefits ranging from uplifting negative moods to having anti-inflammatory properties. We use it in our Lemon & Eucalyptus Bug Spray for it’s ability to repel insects. 

CLARY SAGE ESSENTIAL OIL

Clary sage is processed by steam distilling the leaves and flowers of clary sage, an herb with a fruity, floral aroma that is also slightly nutty. The oil helps to soothe and balance the skin, regulates oil production, and can help calm and clarify the mind. Warning, clary sage can be known to help induce pregnancy, and therefore we recommend using our products containing this oil with caution and consulting your physician or midwife for more information. We use this oil in our Lavender & Clary Sage Body Scrub, Lavender Fields Hair & Body Oil, and in our Lavender & Geranium Hand Salve

COPAIBA BALSAM ESSENTIAL OIL

is steam distilled from Copaifera trees found in Brazil. It provides a warm and pleasant scent much like honey and works beautifully as a base note scent in our Lemon & Cardamom Hand Salve and our Eucalyptus & Tea Tree Hand Salve.

EUCALYPTUS ESSENTIAL OIL

The oil has a strong, herbaceous aroma with woody undertones. Eucalyptus oil has many benefits, including; soothes nasal congestion and physical discomfort, high in antimicrobial properties, and can prevent insects. We use this oil in our Tea Tree & Eucalyptus Hand Salve and Eucalyptus & Lavender Bath Soak.

Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense comes from a small scraggly but hardy tree indigenous to the Middle East. The resin begins as a fragrant sticky milky-white liquid that flows from the trunk of the tree when cut. The dried tears are collected, and the resin is then distilled, producing the oil. It’s aroma can be described as woody, earthy, and spicy with a fruity nuance. Frankincense can stimulate the growth of new skin cells, and can reduce the appearance of wrinkles, acne, and discoloration. We use this oil in our Activated Charcoal & Rosemary Detoxifying Face Mask, White Turmeric & Green Tea Under Eye Cream, and in our Mens products.

GINGER ROOT ESSENTIAL OIL

 A warm, spicy, woody scent with notes of citrus and spice. Because of it’s toning and antioxidant properties, ginger can rejuvenate skin and reduce the appearance of hypopigmented scars. We use this oil in our Rose & Ginger Hand Salve and in our Blood Orange & Ginger Lip Balm.

GRAPEFRUIT ESSENTIAL OIL

A fresh and sweet citrus oil with a medium aroma. It shares the same uplifting qualities as other citrus scents, while also brightening skin and purifying oily and acne prone skin. We use grapefruit in our Grapefruit & Ylang Ylang Cuticle Cream and our Pineapple & Grapefruit Brightening Face Mask.

Helichrysum Essential OIl

Also known as everlasting or immortelle, because the yellow flowers stay bright and vibrant well after being dried. This floral oil has a sweet honey-like aroma, that is also a little spicy and woody. Helichrysum has brightening, calming, antioxidant properties. It also tones and moisturizes skin and is very popular in hydrating formulas for mature skin. We use this oil in our Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm and White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream.

JASMINE ESSENTIAL OIL

Jasmine is an exotic and fragrant, floral essential oil. It carries a number of health and skin benefits, ranging from hydrating and balancing the skin to having antiviral and antimicrobial properties. It also has an uplifting effect. We use this essential oil in our Jasmine & Hibiscus Whipped Body Butter, Lavender Fields Oi Hair & Body Oil, Seaweed & Matcha Nourishing Face Mask, and in our Honeysuckle & Aloe Vera Facial Toner.

LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL

Lavender essential oil is known for its fresh, fruity, and herbaceous floral aroma. One of the most popular aromatherapeutic oils, lavender is also known to promote relaxation and aid with sleep. Lavender essential oil is also known to relieve pain, soothe skin issues such as acne and wrinkles, and has anti-inflammatory properties. We use lavender oil in our Lavender & Clary Sage Body Scrub, Lavender Fields Hair & Body Oil, Lavender & Geranium Hand Salve, Lavender & Rosemary Lip Balm, and  Eucalyptus & Lavender Bath Soak.

LEMON ESSENTIAL OIL

Lemon oil has a bright and uplifting, strong citrus scent. The oil has cleansing properties and is known to effectively; tone skin, lighten dark spots, balance oil, and even repels mosquitoes. We use it in our Lemon & Eucalyptus Bug Spray and Lemon & Cardamom Hand Salve.

LEMONGRASS ESSENTIAL OIL

smelling of a fresh and earth citrus scent, is extracted by steam distilling the leaves of the Lemongrass, a grass that originated in India. Lemongrass shares similar properties with citronella and has a great reputation for keeping insects away. We use it in our Lemon & Eucalyptus Bug Spray.

LIME ESSENTIAL OIL

Lime oil has a refreshing and tart aroma with uplifting properties.  It is known to relieve stress and anxiety and can help with acne and breakouts. We use lime essential oil in our Lime & Lemon Balm Lip Balm and Bergamot & Mint Body Scrub.

LITSEA ESSENTIAL OIL

This essential oil has a crisp and citrusy smell, sweeter than lemongrass, with uplifting and rejuvenating benefits. It has astringent, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties. We use this lovely herbal oil in both our Lime & Lemon Balm Lip Balm and Bergamot & Mint Body Scrub.

Myrrh

Myrrh essential oil has an uplifting and rich, warm, and spicy aroma. This oil is highly beneficial for the skin, especially the gentle facial area. It cleanses, moisturizes, and tightens the skin- known to reduce and soothe wrinkles and blemishes. We use this essential oil in our Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm, White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream, Neroli & Chamomile Facial Serum, Seaweed & Matcha Nourishing Face Mask, and in our Wildflower Hair & Body Oil

NEROLI ESSENTIAL OIL

Neroli essential oil is pressed from the blossoms of sweet or bitter orange trees and is one of the most popular oils in the perfume and aromatherapy industries. It has a sweet and citrus, floral aroma. Neroli is one of the most beneficial oils for skin, especially for sensitive and skin. It helps balance and tone skin, reduces the appearance of pores, improves skin elasticity, and can treat acne. We use this oil in our Neroli & Chamomile Serum, Honeysuckle & Aloe Vera Facial Toner, and Bergamot & Mint Body Scrub.

PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL

Peppermint has a strong, sweet, refreshing aroma and is one of the most popular essential oils. It is known to calm and rejuvenate the body, relieve headaches and tension, prevent mosquito bites, and soothe irritation such as itching from existing bug bites. We use this oil in our Bergamot & Mint Body Scrub, Minted Hair & Body Oil, and Peppermint Lip Balm.

ROSE ESSENTIAL OIL

Rose has rich and sweet floral aroma and is often considered an essential ingredient in perfumes. Rose essential oil is incredibly beneficial, especially for sensitive and aging skin types. It can balance moisture levels, reduce the appearance of imperfections, and promotes even skin tone. We use rose oil in our Neroli & Chamomile Facial Serum, Rose & Hibiscus Tinted Lip Balm, Rose & Ginger Hand Salve, Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm, Calendula & Mint Cleansing Grains, and our Coconut & Rosehip Moisturizing Face Mask.

Rose geranium essential oil

Rose geranium essential oil is extracted from the leaves of the rose geranium plant and has a rose scent. This essential oil has antioxidant properties that can help reduce signs of aging and wrinkles. Rose geranium is also anti-inflammatory, removes dead skin cells, brightens and tightens skin. It can also reduce acne breakouts and help with skin irritation. Rose geranium essential oil is featured in our Reishi & Rosehip Face Cream.

ROSEMARY ESSENTIAL OIL

Rosemary essential oil is processed by steam distilling the leaves of the rosemary shrub. It has a strong, herbal, refreshing and woody aroma. It is known for its stimulating, soothing, and pain relieving properties. Rosemary oil is also known to promote hair growth, and rejuvenate and tighten skin. We use it in our Lavender & Rosemary Lip Balm, Lavender Fields Hair & Body Oil, Lavender & Geranium Hand Salve, Lemon & Eucalyptus Bug Spray, and in all of our Cedarwood and Rosemary Beard & Hair Oil, Vetiver & Bergamot Shave and Body Oil, Rosemary & Vetiver Aftershave.

ROSEWOOD Essential Oil

Rosewood is now an endangered species, so we use a substitute blend made up of purely natural constituents, that smells very similar to the real Rosewood Oil. This oil has a warm, woody, and slightly floral aroma. We use it in our Lavender & Clary Sage Body Scrub, and Lavender Fields Hair & Body Oil.

Sweet Orange Essential Oil

Is processed by cold pressing the fruit peel of sweet oranges, an evergreen tree smaller than that of the bitter orange tree, originating from Brazil. The essential oil  shares the same sweet citrus scent as the sweet fruit, but more intense and concentrated. It is known to act as an antidepressant because of it’s pleasantly uplifting aroma. We use it in our Rose & Ginger Hand Salve and our Ginger & Blood Orange Lip Balm.

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil

Ylang Ylang is a floral oil with a rich, sweet, and exotic aroma. Ylang ylang has antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties and has been used in skin care to fight signs of aging, improve complexions,  give a youthful glow, and to strengthen and moisturize the skin. We use it in our Rose & Ginger Hand Salve, Ylang Ylang & Grapefruit Cuticle Cream, and Coconut & Rosehip Moisturizing Face Mask. 

Carrier oils

Apricot Oil

Ideal for all skin types as it provides lightweight moisture, contains vitamin E and K, and is rich in omega 6 fatty acids. It’s non-comedogenic and helps reduce dark circles. We use this in our Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm, White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream and in all of our hair and body oils.

Argan Oil

Packed with antioxidants, omega-6 fatty acids, linoleic acid, and vitamin A and E. Argan oil boosts cell production, eases inflammation, and provides deep moisture without clogging pores.  We use this in Neroli & Chamomile Serum, Cedarwood & Rosemary Beard Oil, White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream.

CAMELLIA OIL

High in antioxidants and omega-9, this moisturizing oil is antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and anti aging. It has high levels of vitamin E, and was historically used by chinese women for it’s hydrating effects on skin and hair. Camellia oil is used in our Neroli & Chamomile Serum, Ylang Ylang & Grapefruit Cuticle Cream, White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream.

CASTOR OIL

Derived from the seeds of the castor plant, castor oil softens dry skin, provides deep hydration, reduces the appearance of scars, prevents stretch marks, and actually has cleansing properties. We use it in our Lip Balms, Hand Salves, Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm, Lemon & Eucalyptus Bug Spray and Honey & Fig Lip Scrub.

COCONUT OIL

Coconut Oil is the ultimate moisturizer and provider of essential nutrients and vitamins. It has saturated fats that help lock in moisture. This oil is used in all our Lip Balms, Hand Salves, Body Scrubs and Body Butters.

Hemp Seed Oil

Hemp seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant using a cold-pressing technique that results in a green oil with an earthy aroma. Hemp seed oil has anti-aging properties that can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It also balances and hydrates oily skin without clogging pores. This oil is featured in our Reishi & Rosehip Face Cream.

JOJOBA OIL

Jojoba Oil is  rich in vitamin E, B, zinc, and selenium. This oil absorbs quickly, is non-greasy, and alleviates dry skin. The oil’s chemical structure is almost identical to our naturally produced sebum; it balances skin, locks in moisture, and is high in vitamins. We use jojoba oil in all our Lip Balms, our Minted Hair & Body Oil, Wildflower Hair & Body Oil, Lavender Hair & Body Oil, Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm, Neroli & Chamomile Serum, and Vetiver & Bergamot Shave Oil.

OLIVE OIL

Olive oil is rich in antioxidants, helps with skin aging and wrinkles, while also protecting, nourishing, and rejuvenating skin. It restores moisture, lightly cleanses, and doesn’t clog pores. Olive Oil is used in our Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm, all our Hand Salves, and in the Cedarwood & Rosemary Beard Oil.

RICE BRAN OIL 

Rice Bran Oil is rich in fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, proteins, and especially high in antioxidants. This oil has amazing healing properties. It’s hydrating and soothing qualities improve skin texture and brighten skin tone. It’s used in all our Hand Salves, Hair & Body Oils, Body Scrubs, and Body Butters.

Rosehip Oil

Rosehip oil is pressed from the fruit and seeds of the rose plant. This oil has a dry, non-greasy texture that easily  blends into the skin. Rosehip oil boosts collagen production, improving skin elasticity and firmness. It is also rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin A which help brighten, even out the skin, and decrease hyperpigmentation. This oil is ideal for all skin types and is featured in our Reishi & Rosehip Face Cream.

Hydrosols

Aloe Vera Hydrosol 

Aloe Vera Hydrosol tightens pores, heals, soothes, and replenishes moisture. It’s ideal for sensitive, dry, and aging skin. Provides mild tonic and skin cleansing properties. It also helps with acne and breakouts. We use it in our Honeysuckle & Aloe Vera Facial Toner and Rosemary & Vetiver Aftershave.

Honeysuckle Hydrosol 

Honeysuckle Hydrosol is a flower water with high levels of antioxidants, and astringent and antiseptic properties. It tightens pores, controls sebum production, and soothes skin. It is balancing for all skin types, and is especially beneficial for oily and acne-prone skin. We use wildcrafted Honeysuckle Hydrosol distilled in small batches in South Carolina, in our Honeysuckle & Aloe Vera Facial Toner.

Witch Hazel 

Excellent astringent that treats acne, reduces oil, and calms inflammation. Our alcohol-free witch hazel is suitable for even the most sensitive skin. It is used in our Honeysuckle & Aloe Vera Facial Toner and Rosemary & Vetiver Aftershave.



Herbs and flowers

ALKANET

Alkanet Root is an herb from the borage family that soothes skin, has an earthy aroma, and works as a natural colorant or dye. It has anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antibacterial properties. We use wildcrafted alkanet root for it’s stunning pink hue and restorative benefits. This herb is featured in our Rose & Hibiscus Tinted Lip Balm and Jasmine & Hibiscus Whipped Body Butter.  

Burdock

Is a detoxifying herb with anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties. It’s high antioxidant levels make it extremely effective at purifying the skin and and helping treat and prevent acne. Locally grown Burdock Root is featured in our Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm.

Calendula

Calendula Flowers are very healing herbs with high levels of carotenoids, excellent for sensitive skin. Calendula fights acne and bacteria, and stimulates the production of collagen which minimizes scarring. It also soothes wounds, inflammation,and softens the complexion. We use locally grown calendula in our Neroli & Chamomile Serum, White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream, Calendula & Chamomile Bath Soak, Calendula & Mint Cleansing Grains.

Echinacea

Echinacea root and flowers have healing properties that can prevent acne, treat inflammation, and reduce wrinkles. It’s highly astringent and can minimize the appearance of pores for firmer skin. We use locally grown echinacea in our Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm.

Espresso Beans

We use Piedmont Espresso from local and small batch artisan roaster, Carrboro Coffee Roasters. This espresso combines the best beans of the Pacific Rim and the Americas. We infuse coconut oil with this locally roasted espresso for our Espresso Lip Balm.

Green Tea

Green tea is rich in enzymes, amino acids, and vitamins. The high levels of tannins tighten skin and alleviate swelling. Green tea is also high in caffeine which enhances circulation, minimizing darkness, and puffiness. We use ground green tea, or matcha, in our White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream, Seaweed & Matcha Nourishing Face Mask, and Calendula & Mint Cleansing Grains.

Hibiscus

Hibiscus is rich in vitamin C, it evens out skin tone, and provides a sweet, zesty aroma. It is referred to as “the botox plant” because of its alpha hydroxy acids and vitamin C that gently exfoliate and firm the skin while encouraging cell turnover. We infuse coconut oil with locally grown hibiscus for our Rose & Hibiscus Tinted Lip Balm and Jasmine & Hibiscus Whipped Body Butter.

Lavender

Lavender flowers have a relaxing aroma, can soothe nerves, and are rich with nourishing antioxidants. These flowers are have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anti-aging properties. We feature locally grown lavender flowers in our Eucalyptus & Lavender Bath Soak.

Marshmallow root

Marshmallow root extract is anti-inflammatory and is derived from the althaea plant that is native to Europe, Western Asia, and Northern Africa. The marshmallow plant contains a thick, gummy substance that is called mucilage that is extracted from the root of the plant, and is used to soothe skin. When applied topically, marshmallow root provides hydration, helps retain moisture, soothes redness, and relieves inflammation. Marshmallow root also rejuvenates skin, reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and soothes delicate skin that is prone to dryness. Marshmallow is featured as an ingredient in our Reishi & Rosehip Face Cream. 

Milky oats

Milky oats are derived from avena sativa, or common oat. Milky oats are very nourishing for the skin and have many skin-soothing properties that are highly effective for those prone to eczema and dry skin. This herb is rich in antioxidants, and vitamins A, C and E, which help protect the skin against damage. Milky oats are also very hydrating and help maintain the skin’s pH balance. We feature this ingredient in our Reishi & Rosehip Face Cream. 

Mint

Mint is a refreshing astringent that contains salicylic acid, making it an ideal herb for treating acne and reducing inflammation. Mint can tone skin to brighten your complexion, and when finely ground acts as a gentle exfoliant. We use locally grown mint in our Calendula & Mint Cleansing Grains.

Reishi

Reishi is a medicinal mushroom that is native to Asia. It has soothing and cleansing properties, as well as anti-aging benefits. Reishi mushrooms are rich in antioxidants that prevent premature aging and enhance sun protection. It deeply hydrates the skin which helps decrease fine lines, wrinkles, and can restore moisture loss. Reishi mushrooms can also help fade acne scars, reduce skin pigmentation, and discoloration. The anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce swelling, and  calm redness for  soothed and  calmer skin. Reishi mushrooms are featured in our Reishi & Rosehip Face Cream.

Tulsi

Holy Basil, also known as tulsi, has a rich and sacred history in India and grows beautifully here in North Carolina. It has skin-soothing antioxidants, antimicrobial properties, and a relaxing, uplifting scent. We use locally grown tulsi for our NC Grown Holy Basil Lip Balm

WHITE TURMERIC

White Turmeric is rich in vitamins and antioxidants and is also a powerful anti-inflammatory. It soothes strained capillaries under eyes, reducing dark circles, swelling, and redness.  We based the formula of our best selling eye cream around this incredible herb, because it is highly beneficial but will not stain the skin like common yellow turmeric. The small local farmers we work with specially ordered this rare seed from Hawaii and then grew the herb for our White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream.

Butters and wax

BEESWAX

Beeswax has antibacterial properties and is a great source of vitamin A. It soothes dry and itchy skin and also protects and moisturizes skin. We use beeswax in all our Lip Balms, Hand Salves, Ylang Ylang & Grapefruit Cuticle Cream and in our new Honey & Fig Lip Scrub.

Candelilla WAX

It has anti-aging polyphenol antioxidants, omega-9, and is antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and hydrating. Candelilla Wax is able to deeply penetrate the skin's surface and is known to brighten and smooth your complexion. We use this vegan friendly wax in our White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream and Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm.

COCOA BUTTER

Cocoa Butter is packed with vitamins and fatty acids, and easily penetrates the skin to keep skin moisturized. Our raw and organic cocoa butter has a sweet chocolate aroma and is used in the Coconut & Cocoa Whipped Body Butter, Espresso Lip Balm, and Honey & Fig Lip Scrub.

KOKUM BUTTER

Is deeply healing, intensely moisturizing, and adds extra rich texture. Kokum butter has antioxidant properties and deeply softens skin. This is used in our Ylang Ylang & Grapefruit Cuticle Cream and Jasmine & Hibiscus Whipped Body Butter.

MANGO BUTTER

 Mango butter has a smooth texture, light aroma, and can heal dry and damaged skin. It is rich in vitamins C, A, and E, as well as fatty acids. We feature it in our Coconut & Cocoa Whipped Body Butter, Jasmine & Hibiscus Whipped Body Butter, and all our Lip Balms.

Orange Peel Wax

It’s a soothing emollient that protects the skin and is high in vitamin C and other antioxidants. It acts as a toning cleanser that improves acne-prone and oily skin. Orange peel wax has a sweet citrus aroma and is featured in our Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm.

Shea Butter

Has healing and strengthening properties. It moisturizes skin, is high is essential fatty acids, and vitamins A, E, and F. Shea Butter is used in all our Hand Salves, Body Scrubs, Jasmine & Hibiscus Whipped Body Butter, Ylang Ylang & Grapefruit Cuticle Cream, and White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream.

Elderberry Extract

This extract comes from the superfruit elderberry, which is rich in vitamins and potent antioxidants. Elderberry extract has highly astringent properties that tone and cleanse the skin. This extract is used in our Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm.

Leucidal Liquid

Derived from Radish Root fermented with Leuconostoc kimchii, Leucidal Liquid is a natural, plant-based preservative.This preservative consists of a peptide, that has been shown to have antimicrobial benefits. Peptides have been found to provide skin moisturization properties. Leucidal Liquid is water soluble, Naturally derived, odorless, and has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity. This is used in our Honeysuckle & Aloe Toner, Rosemary & Vetiver Aftershave.

Rosemary extract

Rosemary extract has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and tonic properties. It calms irritation and protects skin from free radical damage. It also acts as a natural preservative, protecting other natural ingredients from bacteria and humidity. It is used in our White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream and Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm.

Sea buckthorn

Sea buckthorn is extracted from the fruit and seeds of the sea buckthorn plant that grows in the northwest Himalayan region. Sea buckthorn is rich in many vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, helping improve the health and appearance of the skin. The high antioxidants help smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and can minimize discoloration and scarring on the skin. Sea buckthorn oil has anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce swelling and redness. This oil is good for all skin types and is featured in our Reishi & Rosehip Face Cream. 

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is packed with antioxidants that soothe and repair damaged skin cells. It also promotes healthy hair growth and prevents scar tissue. We use Vitamin E in all of our; Lip Balms, Hand Salves, Body Scrubs, Body Butters, Hair & Body Oils, Ylang Ylang & Grapefruit Cuticle Cream, Neroli & Chamomile Serum, White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream, Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm and all of the Men’s Products.

Exfoliants

EPSOM SALT

Ideal for relieving aches and lactic acid build up. Soaking in epsom salt also reduces inflammation and relieves tired feet. It’s rich in magnesium and helps detoxify your body. We use this in our Lavender & Eucalyptus Bath Soak.

Oatmeal

Calms and softens dry, irritated, and sensitive skin. It has healing, moisturizing, and antioxidant properties. Oatmeal is also a natural cleanser. We use oatmeal in our Chamomile & Ylang Ylang Bath Soak and Calendula & Mint Cleansing Grains.

Brown Rice Flour

Absorbs oil, smooths, and rejuvenates your complexion while nourishing the skin with essential vitamins. Brown rice flour lightly exfoliates and never dries out your skin. We use this in our Calendula & Mint Cleansing Grains and Pineapple & Grapefruit Brightening Face Mask.

SEA SALT

Promotes relaxation, reduces stress, increases detoxification, improves skin and decreases inflammation. Sea salt is high in minerals like sodium, potassium, zinc, iron and copper. We use this in our Eucalyptus & Lavender Bath Soak.

Sugar

Exfoliates the skin to remove dead skin cells and soften skin. Because of natural glycolic acid, it also exfoliates on a chemical level rather than by abrasion alone. We use certified organic sugar in all of our Body Scrubs and in our new Honey & Fig Lip Scrub.

Activated Charcoal Extract 

Activated Charcoal draws bacteria, chemicals, dirt and other micro-particles to the skin’s surface, fighting acne and helping achieve a smooth complexion. It has natural deep cleansing and exfoliating properties.This is a key ingredient in our Activated Charcoal & Rosemary Detoxifying Face Mask.

Aloe Vera Powder 

It’s high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that hydrate, soothe, and protect the skin. Aloe Vera is also antibacterial and stimulates collagen production, renewing your skin’s elasticity. This is used in all of our face masks, Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm and White Turmeric & Green Tea Eye Cream.

Coconut Milk Powder  

Rich in vitamins, minerals, and natural fatty acids, Coconut Milk Powder is deeply soothing and able to replace moisture in dry skin. It also prevents acne and is packed with vitamin C and copper which help maintain the elasticity and flexibility of the skin. We use coconut milk powder in our Chamomile & Ylang Ylang Bath Soak and Coconut & Rosehip Moisturizing Face Mask. 

French Green Clay

French Green Clay is rich in minerals, gently exfoliates dead skin, and removes and absorbs skins impurities. It dries out skin which tightens pores, tones skin, and leaves skin glowing and refreshed. We use green clay in our new Seaweed & Matcha Nourishing Face Mask. 

French Pink Clay 

Pink Clay hydrates and firms skin, giving a radiant and youthful appearance. This clay refines lines, moisturizes, improves overall texture, and is ideal for sensitive skin. It also cleanses and removes dead skin cells.This is used in our Coconut & Rosehip Moisturizing Face Mask and Echinacea & Chamomile Cleansing Balm.

Pineapple Extract

Pineapple Extract contains the fruit enzyme bromelain-which exfoliates skin on a chemical level, gently removing dead skin without needing any physical exfoliation. This deep level of exfoliation reveals a healthy,smooth, and fresh complexion. Pineapple extract also delivers nutrients like vitamin C that treat acne and even skin tone. It is an essential ingredient in our Pineapple & Grapefruit Brightening Face Mask

Rosehip Extract  

Rosehip is the fruit of the rose plant and the extract is the ground powder from the seeds and shells. It improves skin elasticity and is high in vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin C. Rosehip also has natural antioxidant properties and helps keep skin hydrated. Rosehip Extract is featured in our Coconut & Rosehip Moisturizing Face Mask.

Seaweed Powder 

is derived from ascophyllum nodosum, also known as bladder wrack or kelp, a brown seaweed that is wildcrafted. It is vitamin and nutrient rich, including B12 which is unique to ocean ingredients and cannot be found in any land plants. Seaweed effectively cleanses, exfoliates, and detoxifies skin, drawing out impurities while also providing nutrients. Since it is high in fatty acids, seaweed also helps skin retain moisture. We use certified organic seaweed powder in our Nourishing Face Mask

Spirulina powder

Is a protein rich blue green algae that is high in fatty and amino acids, iron, and other minerals and nutrients. It is also high in antioxidants and encourages cell turn-over for a more radiant complexion. Spirulina also contains chlorophyll, that has cleansing properties and hydrates skin. We use certified organic spirulina powder in our Nourishing Face Mask

Sunflower lecithin

Sunflower lecithin is made by dehydrating a sunflower and separating it into three parts; oil, gum and solids. The lecithin comes from the gum of the sunflower and is processed through a cold press system. Sunflower lecithin has emollient properties that soften and hydrate skin as well as a high concentration of fatty acids that create a protective barrier on the skin that helps seal in moisture. This lecithin is highly beneficial for mature or dry skin and is featured in our Reishi & Rosehip Face Cream.

White Clay/ Kaolin Clay 

White clay gently cleanses skin without over-drying, and stimulates cell production. It also helps reduce and balance oiliness, tones skin, soothes irritation, and is a natural detoxifier and exfoliator. We use white clay in our Pineapple & Grapefruit Brightening Face Mask, Activated Charcoal & Rosemary Detoxifying Face Mask, and in both of our Bath Soaks.
